DOUGZ painted this bike back around 1993 for Dave 'Hardtail' Grieve. Well the man rides his equipment year round. Yup - even on clear days during the cold winter months up here in Wisconsin, you'll find Hardtail out riding. The '65 Trophy was in dire need of fresh paint after 15 years of service so we did this Kandy Kobalt over Sterling Silver combination, then added freehand pinstriping to separate the colors. Hardtail freshened the engine while it was down for paint so we expect it'll be at least another 15 years before its ready for paint again... right about the time when I'll be considering retirement!
