Mark Platt brought in this 2004 Nissan 350Z for a full custom paint job. Over the winter of 2006/2007 we worked out the details of the paint job while the car was at Jim Finch’s Premier Auto Group having a turbo installed. I mean, what good does it do to have a piece of machinery that looks fast but lacks punch? By choice the tune up on this car is held at 500 Horsepower which is a whole lot when you consider its power-to-weight ratio and there’s roughly another 150 horse on tap!! This is one outstanding car for an equally outstanding individual. I’ve gotten to know Mark pretty well over the last few months and he is a great guy with a heart of gold and patience galore! While I projected this job to take 4-6 weeks it ended up taking 7 weeks. It’s not an exact science and every project is different so the best we can do is ‘guess’ when it will be completed. Before we started the project Mark and I discussed the paint job I was schedule to do for Jay Leno and Mark was just as committed as I was to getting Jay’s done as quickly as possible and he gave me the green light to put the Z on hold for a few days while I knocked out Jay’s paint job. You don’t run into someone as gracious as Mark Platt very often and words alone cannot express my gratitude! Thanks Mark for being such a great client and a wonderful person!
