Shaping the FXLR-S
After building and evaluating the initial FXLR-S fairing design, we’ve refined the upper profile and headlight roll to better align with what’s proven to work on the road.
This updated version draws from the same geometry that has made the Spartan fairing a consistent seller for over five years—specifically in how the fairing rolls over and frames the headlight. The changes are subtle, but visually and functionally meaningful.
The images shown here include development mockups, a digital mounted example, and real-world mounted reference photos.
Three images are development mockups, bench-mounted on a donor Speed Screen. These are not final finish parts, but they accurately represent the overall shape, proportions, and headlight opening of the revised design.
One image is a digital representation of the revised fairing installed on an FXLR-S, intended to show how the final shape integrates on the bike. Additional mounted bike images are included to show overall scale and fitment.
Final production pieces will feature clean edges, refined transitions, and production-quality finish. This stage ensures the shape is fully dialed before committing to tooling and molds.
Oh, and by the way - Your eyes aren’t deceiving you — the FXLR-S Fairing mounts directly to the stock Speed Screen. This allows for a cleaner look, a simpler installation, and OEM-style integration without unnecessary hardware or complexity.
